Saturday, Sept. 20 –
• Check into Hotel Quatro for 2 nights.
• Explore the neighborhood
• Lunch at Café del Principe
• Rest time
• Saturday dinner at Taberna Alhambra (sangria & tapas)

Sunday, Sept. 21 –
• Explore El Rastro Flea Market in La Latina Neighborhood
• Lunch at the fabulous Market San Miguel
• Walk through Central Madrid, ending at the Cathedral
• Afternoon bus tour giving overview of Madrid
• Rest time
• Tapas at Taberna Malaspina and La Finca de Susana
• Drinks and dancing at Why Not? Bar in the infamous Chueca neighborhood.

Monday, Sept 22 –
• Check in to rental apartment:
• Lunch at famous fried Squid restaurant or Market San Miguel Reviews-Bar_La_Campana-Madrid.html
•Afternoon at the Prado Museum, seeing some of European Art’s greatest hits (including Velazquez, Goya, Titian, and Bosch’s “Garden of Earthly Delights”)
• Rest time
• 8pm Dinner of Roasted Suckling Pig at La Botin, the oldest continually operating restaurant in the world (and one of Sarah’s – and Hemingway’s – faves!)
• After dinner Churros and Chocolate from San Gines
• Rooftop drinks at Circulo de Bellas Artes, a cool art center with a bar

Tuesday, Sept 23 –
Lazy morning enjoying the fab apartment!
• Shopping near Puerta del Sol
• Lunch on your own
• 3pm – Historical Walking tour of Madrid with New Madrid Tours (beginning at Plaza Mayor and ending at Retiro Park):
• Rest time
• Dinner at Bosque Tapas Bar, Kaixo
• 10:30pm Flamenco Show at Casa Patas

Wednesday, Sept 24 –
10am – Bicycle Tour of the City (4 hours) with Bravo Bikes (sights include the Egyptian Temple of Debod at Park del Oeste, the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, houses of Cervantes & Lope de Vega, Retiro Park)
• Lunch at Restaurante Lateral in Santa Ana Plaza
• Walk by CaixaForum Madrid Art Space with a cool vertical garden
• Rest time or Shopping in Salamanca
• 9pm Dinner at El Pimiento Verde in Salamanca, a Basque cuisine restaurant with the best artichokes in the world and tasty fish

Thursday, Sept 25 –
High speed morning train to the Medieval town of Toledo,_Spain
Guided tour of the town (including the famous synagogue, early mosque, and cathedral)
• Lunch on your own and shopping
• Train back to Madrid
• Paella dinner at Restaurant St. James

Friday, Sept. 26 –
Move to the loft in Plaza Mayor f16f-edd1ec336b92
• Lunch at Market San Miguel
• Reina Sofia Museum, featuring some amazing work by Salvador Dali, George Braque, Joan Miro and Pablo Picasso (including his uber famous “Guernica” mural!)
• Free Afternoon / Shopping
• 7:30 Drinks at the Bullfighter’s Bar, La Torre del Oro
• 8:30pm Fab Goodbye Dinner for Terry & Peggy at Gastromaquia\

Saturday, Sept 27 –
• Massage and soak at the amazing Hammam Al Andalus
• Shopping and Rest Time
• Final Dinner – Take out Tapas and Wine from Market San Miguel, eaten on the balcony overlooking Calle Cuchilleros and Plaza Mayor. Heaven!
